JUNIPER & SPRUCE | hydrosol toner blend
JUNIPER & SPRUCE | hydrosol toner blend
clarity, intuition and congested skin
Wondering the coastline of Lawrencetown NS, we find both Black Spruce and Juniper. They are hardy due to the harsh coastal climate, which makes plants that live here a resilient ally. The gorgeous smell and sound of the ocean while harvesting gives your soul a drink as we wildcraft these incredible plants. Only taking what we need and leaving a thank you for allowing us to share in their beauty and abundance. Then the plants are sorted and cut up, and packed into our very own copper still. The process can be up to 4 or 5 hours at very low heat, gently bursting the cell wall of the plants to give us the essence of all the alive constituents. Pure plant power! This blend is one of my new favorites. It smells like winter and is very uplifting to the soul.
This herbal blend is known for its ability to accelerate cellular turnover and lymphatic movement, which makes it great for oily skin types, ingrown hairs, aftershave and signs of acne. It’s stimulating and restorative while it fights both inflammation and bacteria. It helps connect us with nature and the ancient wisdom of the trees.
INGREDIENTS: Juniper berries and branches, Black Spruce, spring water
ORIGIN: Nova Scotia
RITUAL:
After cleansing in the morning and evening, mist hydrosol onto the face then gently press into the skin. Apply Oil Serum or Face Balm after misting in the morning. As part of a daily skin care routine, our Rose Hydrosol is the ideal toning product for normal, dry, sensitive and tired skin. For an added boost spray face again after applying face oil.
PRO TIP:
Our blended hydrosols , like all of our Hydrosols we offer, are specifically distilled for the hydrosol, not as a co-product or even a by-product. The plant's cellular water and many components - normally lost under pressurized short steam runs for essential oil, or by using dried material - are what the producers specifically distill for by using only fresh plant material right from their farm or from local farms to ensure that the plant material is as fresh as possible.
